White River Canal District
HWC Engineering worked with the city of Muncie, Indiana to complete survey services for the White River Canal District. The project includes the proposed redevelopment of multiple city blocks in downtown Muncie.
The HWC Survey Group provided boundary information and existing site conditions/topography for 18 parcels spanning four city blocks.
The unique challenge of this project was the re-establishment right-of-way lines and parcel lines in an area with very old subdivisions or little to no record at all. HWC performed extensive research and worked closely with the Delaware County GIS Department, the Muncie Street Department, and other city employees in our attempt to resolve questions about these areas.
